The Technological University (UTEC), a public institution with a strong technological profile, set out to democratize education. UTEC sought a solution that would allow them to scale their educational offerings and reach communities where tertiary education was inaccessible. They needed a robust and flexible platform that could grow with their ambitions. In 2015, they chose Open edX®, recognizing its potential for democratizing learning. The collaboration between UTEC and edunext transformed education in Uruguay.
